Yeah!!
Everybody loves the empire darlings...THE REAL LOSERS!.....brand spankin´
new..... "music for funsters"... punk rock record of the year!
<end of brief promo>
It
took a while to a release since we got their first demo . Hm, that´s
a whole other story. Their raw shocker debut "Time To Loose"
was a highlight of 2003 and we´re so proud to put out their second
album entitled "Music For Funsters". . The HORIZONTAL ACTION
cover cats are very high profiled since then, having already a bunch
of 7" on various record labels (BANCROFT, WRENCH, SQUIRREL, TREPANNER
HEADMUSIC) out and just these days there are two new coming out on HIGH
SCHOOL REFUSE and KEN ROCK.

C SHAKE, HOTDOG and
the HAND talked us the mouth watery for quite a while now, blabbering
that the next record would be a "powerpop" record. They didn´t
promise too much. Ha, it´s REAL LOSERS insanity! "Music For
Funsters" has 15 genious songs, and we knew after the first spin
that this, once more, is going to save the world. Enhanced by a DEVO cover
"Mongoloid" (with synth and HOTDOG backs!!) and a song - "Birdbrain
S.O.T" - by PEEPIN´ JOHN of the FLAKES, what a package!
It´s the record you need to bring to any party and to the afterparty,
one of those soundtracks make you dance on one foott, rotating bratwurst
with a look of retardness in the final stadium. The REAL LOSERS got it
down, with their aura of inerrability it´s impossible to bring them
down. Is it ´cause the HAND looks likes the lost son and successor
of André the Giant? Will his stardom rocket into spheres nobody
even can imagine of today? You can´t stop listen to the album. Especially
on friday. You hardly dare turning the sides. You´ll get drunk in
no time and hangover is just half as bad!
We love the REAL LOSERS doing dirty powerpop. It seems so easy to kidnap
the best the 70´s punk and add an extra shot of DAMNED vulgarities. You´ll
get RAMONES simplicity galore & notorious HOTDOG drumming badly packed
in the losers unique out of control rock'n'roll.. They´re the best
japanese band of this decade and more than recoup us for missing nutzoid
nippon outfits. Touring & boozing thru-out the US/CANADA with the
CATHOLIC BOYS and doing the CHICAGO BLACKOUT gave them superior popularity
besides loads of cold meatball pizza and expired PBR. Those trash-smashing
kids got lately caught by the police for stealing union jack flag in Blairs´street
and remember the story that they got shot in the woods once... why don´t
they have their own TV show? This album will fly out of the door no matter
how much crap talk we include here. CD will be out on TRICK KNEE RECORDS
(US) any day. The wax is on heavy 220g vinyl and the artwork is an eye-catcher.
Our personal fave is the back which is the best back cover in label history.
Into the bargain the LP has an inlay sheet with (absolutely necessary)
lyrics and band quiz, puzzle and other stupid amusements.
