SUSPICIOUS BEASTS
"Might Die Tomorrow" LP

the japanese five-piece 'beasts around the New York ex-patriate quixotic Yusuke recorded ten new garage rock psychedelicas darkening the good vibes of beat-tinged 60´s pop and r&b. If you put SUSPICIOUS BEASTS releases together as a narrative, the 3rd album goes beyond their unabashed strangeness.

Listeners draw references to the ghost of ALEX CHILTON to garage rock gems as COMPULSIVE GAMBLERS or jangly guitar and organ driven rough REIGNING SOUNDS demos... but at the end we love them them to do what they do in in playfulness rather than eagerness. Instead of five poster boys with conceptual pleasingly-accessible-freakfolk sound it´s a garage punk record gathering inspiration thru art, coney island walks and the overall weirdness of life. The aspiration is at simple as out of reach: to continue as band on different continents and tour the world and the moon. We had intense moments finally seeing the band on the just finished second European tour 2015 with all the original band members, and we totally enjoyed sort of absorbing their impact. No wonder you may feel like putting on a lofi whacked-out-STANDELLS 45 when they ripped thru their sets in full furious Tokyo punk style. In spite of the predilection for not giving people what they expect (the japanese love to play games), the 'beasts live shows are considered as damn joyful . "Might Die Tomorrow" is a exclusive vinyl only lim. 500 edition on 180g vinyl. Recorded by Jeff Burke and Mark Ryan at Cool Devices, TX. Outstanding artwork by singer & songwriter Yusuke Okada

SUSPICIOUS BEASTS
"Never Bloom" LP

The SUSPICIOUS BEASTS debut LP "Used to Be Beatiful" was our most amazing out-of-nowhere top-ten record of last year! Now it´s a pure freakout out to see them as first japanese band on ALIEN SNATCH! Great bloomy garage psych pop you may never heard that rootsy out of nippon. Apart from the overall oddity "Never Bloom" is full of exotic driving twangy folk melancholy, mind-warping harmonic upbeat kicks, frontman Yusuke sings with desperate intoxicated recklessness, always evoking a surrounding of a sultry, mellow summer on a porch, fading away in throwing stones atmospherics. This album is the party for pop, psych and garage fans, it takes all of you into a great train trip without being phoney and predictable. All girls played this record to loved it! What else is a record label mission? Incredible recording/production job by Fumito & Jeff Burke (MARKED MEN, RADIOACTIVITY) in Tokyo and Denton, TX. Fans of 'modern' bands as JACUZZI or GOLDEN BOYS, KING TUFF, MOONHEARTS, REIGNING SOUND or GOODNIGHT LOVING take note!

hoo-ray! this is the coolest record we heard out of Japan since years! end! stop here!
You need the full story? Then it has to be started back in the day when this rocknroll counter revolution spaceship was geared up in high school. Isn´t it a coincidence the legendary TEENGENERATE play a long awaited show in Europe in two weeks? Fink and all the kids kicked off the golden 90´s of Japanese buzz saw punk with the RAYDIOS, FIRESTARTER, HAVENOTS and a bunch of killer 45 from Nippon.

They saved us from getting shitted in grunge hole (or any other) till the end of the 21st century. That times when we´re addicted to RIP OFF & CRYPT laboratories, we didn´t have facial hair but and tons of energy and bus ticket to LAZY COWGIRLS show. Today, wise as the corner thimblerig, we know what these bus tickets & import records been worth on our never ending mission pouring out our, indeed, superior taste of rock'n'roll. In this matter, the WILDWAX crew made it to Japan to hang out with the NOVICE and the SUSPICIOUS BEASTS, arriving back at our premises with some vinyl to set the fire! Now we present the fully grown re-issue of the fantastic debut album with the same energy to us as aforementioned bands by these Tokyo madmen forming the SUSPICIOUS BEASTS. Initially released by BLACK HOLE records we´re stoked to have the limited run (in reverse cover artwork) ready for their 2013 European tour. We knew that your best of 2012 list still isn´t ready yet! "Used to be Beautiful" is an amazing record overflowing of gritty power pop hooks, garage rock destruction, country bitterness, cartwright afficionadoism, and wild folk distortions. It´s like bringing punk intensity & fun into those 60´s psych mind control nightclubs. Your choice of a 45 RPM evil indian summer hits or sweetened agent orange sunsets. Blown out manic harmonicas, fuzzed acoustic guitar, roaring organs and singer Yusuke pull you in the lonesome alleys of rocknroll where sweet dreams can break like hipster glasses. For all rocknroll bonsai farmers out there - right at the moment when you promise the afternoon to your takeaway cucumber salad you see the threatening storm is in the distance and the air is full of leafs and sirens. As on the last day, you empty all your pockets and kick in hallucinogens & light the worst stuff when the BEASTS transfix you upside down at the a barn door. So sewer rats of the muddy basements of the MOJOMATICS, DEADLY SNAKES, GOODNIGHT LOVING, REIGNING SOUND, PUSSYWARMERS, MUJERES if you swim to Japan, this is called home! And yes, we just released the SUSPICIOUS BEASTS second album entitled "Never Bloom"!!! Mission accomplished?
